The Governors of Highgate PrimaryWhilst the Headteacher has responsibility for the day to day running of the school, it is the Governors' duty to oversee this and to monitor the way the school is developing. The Governing Body is also responsible for appointing staff in conjunction with the Headteacher. The school has a total of fourteen Governors who are people from the local community and others interested in the school. Amongst the Governors there is one Teacher Governor elected by the teaching staff, one support staff governor and five Parent Governors who are elected by the parents. The Parent Governors make a special contribution to help other parents who may have questions or concerns. They can be contacted through the school office. MeetingsParents are welcome to attend Governors' Meetings as observers. |
